Introduction
AngularJS is a powerful JavaScript web application framework for building interactive single-page applications (SPA).
AngularJS started out as a side project of Miško Hevery and Adam Abrons in 2009. Abrons later dropped out of the project and Hevery endeavoured on it with the support of Google, where he worked. Its version 1.0 was released in June 2012.
The name Angular was made up by Abrons because he thought that HTML tags are enclosed by angle brackets. Hevery, in an interview with InfoWorld, said, "it was made up by my friend who I started work with. His name is Adam Abrons, and he basically thought that HTML has angle brackets, so angle brackets, Angular."
